Weather-wise, I’m a four seasons kinda gal. Unlike most, I really enjoy winter (it’s ski season!). That being said, the cold dry air can be a total buzz kill when it wreaks havoc on your skin. My face is usually on the dry side no matter what time of year it is, but it’s especially parched from November through March. Between the blustery weather outside and the dry heat inside, there’s only so much a humidifier and heavy moisturizer at night can accomplish. And if you wear makeup (which I do), you can’t constantly slather moisturizer on your face throughout the day.
So, what is a girl to do? Don’t stress, I’ve discovered a simple and affordable option! Try my DIY Hydrating Face Mist recipe below. It’s an easy 3-ingredient fix that’ll have your skin glowing in no time.
DIY Hydrating Face Mist
– Organic Jasmine Green Tea (I love Numi Tea)
– Argan Oil (Julep has a good one)
– Filtered or distilled water
– Small spray/mist bottle
Boil water and steep the tea for 10-15 minutes. Allow the tea to cool and then pour it into your spray bottle. Add 10-15 drops of argan oil. Attach the spray nozzle and shake the bottle. Mist onto your face and enjoy!
*You can also experiment by adding Vitamin E or other hydrating oils. Jasmine is one of my favorite scents, which is why I used Jasmine Green Tea, but you can switch up your green tea choice as well!
