Happy holidays, y’all! Long time, no see. Sadly, my blog hasn’t gotten the love and attention it deserves lately but I have a good excuse. We just moved into our first home! It’s been equally exciting and exhausting. Our first month of homeownership welcomed us to a leaky roof and a small basement flood. It’s been quite a whirlwind, but I’m hoping this new journey will also offer up a lot of new ideas for She Tries It.
At any rate, I have been trying a few new things lately and I wanted to share the latest with you. I’ll give you a hint: what’s white and twinkles bright for the holidays? My newly whitened smile! I was lucky enough to be asked by Smile Brilliant to test out their at-home teeth whitening system. (Have no fears, all opinions in this post are still strictly my own). And guess what else?! YOU have the chance to win your own Smile Brilliant kit (a $139.00 value!) through my first-ever She Tries It giveaway: enter here!
So, why should you be interested in Smile Brilliant instead of those over-the-counter whitening strips sitting in your bathroom cabinet? Because it’s a custom system with a tried and true whitening formula. First, Smile Brilliant sends you a kit with everything you need to make your own impressions for the smile trays. You ship the impressions back to Smile Brilliant and within 3-5 days your custom trays are shipped to your door and ready to use.
Smile Brilliant is super easy and from my own experience it’s way less expensive than going to the dentist for whitening. About 15 years ago, I got custom trays at my dentist’s office and did intensive whitening treatment at home. It was pricey and my teeth hurt like crazy but it worked really well. My teeth have stayed fairly white ever since… that is, until I started drinking coffee and tea on a daily basis. I noticed a slight yellowing/dullness of my teeth and tried Crest white strips but found they caused an unbearable amount of tooth sensitivity. With Smile Brilliant, I still have some sensitivity but it’s much more tolerable, especially with the desensitizing gel. From my before and after photo below, you can see how much brighter my teeth are after only approx 8 treatments.
